Arkansas Organ Donor Registry
Organ and tissue donation awareness is a year-round endeavor for ARORA. Promoting the Donor Registry is what we do most and you can, too. Since we began the Registry in 1995, hundreds of thousands of Arkansans have automatically signed-up by indicating organ donation on their driver's license. If you don't have donor on your license, you can always request a donor registry form.
Public Speakers
Representatives from ARORA are always available to speak to groups and associations in your area about the benefits of organ donation and transplantation. Click on our "Request a program" link or call us at 1-866-660-5433 to volunteer your group as an audience.
Health Fairs
ARORA is always needing volunteers to help with health fair displays. If you know of a health fair in your area, call and offer to set up and work a display. We send you materials for display. You don't need to be an expert, just willing to talk to people about organ donation in general.
Revenue Office Project
Since people go to the Revenue Office to get their driver's license, we go to encourage them to say "yes" to organ donation. We have locations across the state where we need volunteers to work a display for just a few hours a month in your local Revenue Office. We have all the materials you need, just email us or call.
Future Business Leaders of America
The Arkansas FBLA endorsed ARORA's "Gift of Life" project in 1995, and since that time we have spoken to thousands of high school students across the state. You can help your local FBLA chapter by encouraging the chapter advisor to email us or call 1-866-660-5433 for details. You can even help them run a project.
Farm Bureau Women
The Farm Bureau Women's Committee adopted ARORA as a project in 1996 and have volunteered in many capacities across Arkansas. Some local committees coordinate the Revenue Office Project, while others have worked displays at the local Wal-Mart. If your committee isn't involved, email or call us at 1-866-660-5433 for details. |
