The Organ Donor Registry is one of the best m ethods to promote organ and tissue donation Arora
Welcome to the ARORA Website!

An act approved from a bill that was overwhelmingly passed during the 84 th General Assembly of the Arkansas legislature will help to provide organ donor education to more Arkansans at an earlier age. Act 546 requires that organ and tissue donor education now be taught in public Arkansas high school health and driver education classes.

The Arkansas Department of Education has approved a web-based educational site for this purpose. The Transplant Speakers International E-Learning site is an interactive curriculum being used by many high schools in Arkansas to teach about organ and tissue donation. This web-based course begins with a pretest that will help you determine what you already know about organ and tissue donation and transplantation. Following the pretest is a general introduction to and overview of organ and tissue donation. In addition, the website describes effective and ineffective ways of communicating with your family about organ and tissue donation, the facts and figures about organ donation, and the overall donation process. The website can be accessed at http://www.tsi-elearning.com/. Each public high school will receive a password allowing teachers to access the website and track students’ progress.

ARORA encourages all schools utilizing the E-Learning website, or any other donor education curriculum to contact the ARORA Public Education Deparment at 866-660-5433 to arrange for a donor family member or transplant recipient to speak about their personal experiences with organ and tissue donation
